The world is moving at hyper-speed and the tech world has been no exception.  Every month seems to give way to more innovative ideas, gadgets and OS updates that are helping us to do things easier, faster, better.  In this regard, it’s been hard not to get pulled into the high-paced tech world and not enjoy it.  After all, who wouldn’t like it if technology helped you to automate, simplify and make your life more efficient?  We do!

Consequently, it is no surprise that our Tosca Testsuite 8.3.0 release heavily features products that help enhance your needs to make testing easier, faster and better for you.  The Tricentis team has been working hard to bring together some cool new features that are adaptable to the growing technologies currently available on the market.  The launch of our 8.3.0 release means cool features like our new Cloud-Based Test Management Suite, Tosca as a Service (TaaS); Tosca Orchestrate, a new testing solution from ourOrchestrated Service Virtualization product offering, which simulates complex business behavior of enterprise systems and services; as well as extensions to our Mobile+ product, which answers the growing demand for Mobile support. The launch has also allowed us to release features that further strengthen parts of our core product capabilities, such as Model-Based Test Automation, wherein we have launched new features such as Optical Intelligence, Wait-on-Cursor and Repetitions.  Our Optical Intelligence helps to improve object recognition in order to reduce maintenance efforts for automated test cases.  Used in parallel with our new Repetitions feature that enable testers to repeat test steps for either a fixed amount or dynamic expressions with any relevance to your test execution as well as Wait-on-Cursor, which provides precise synchronization with the application that is being tested to ensure stable object navigation and more reliable test execution, the 8.3.0 Release ensures that testing will be a less tedious and inevitably a more automated process.

Here at Tricentis, we’ve been listening and paying attention to what customers want – must be why we have a 98% Customer Renewal Rate.  If you want to find out more about our 8.3.0 release, check out our videos where Tricentis’ very own, William Healy, walks you through all the cool new features and what they can do.

TOSCA is an automation tool for functional and regression testing of various software products. It also includes GUI, CLI (command line interface), integrated test management, and API. The tool was developed by TRICENTIS Technology & Consulting GmbH, the Austrian company.

The tool is created in VB6, C#, and Java. It can be used by the testers who have no programming skills and knowledge. It contains the ready-to-use configuration for testing business application SAP and Siebel CRM.

The tool supports a range of programming languages such as Delphi, .NET, WPF, Java Swing, Visual Basic, etc. It can be used for Explorer and Firefox web browsers. PowerBuilder and Gupta are the environments for application development.

With the help of this tool, the test cases can be developed by drag&droping the modules and inputting the values for validations. Test cases can be created, modified and automated by non-technical users.

TOSCA Testsuite generates dynamic and synthetic test data. It handles and executes not only manual and automated testing but also GUI as well as non-GUI tests. The tool provides rather detailed reports that show how the weak points of the system under test affect the fulfillment of specified requirements.

Key benefits:

  • Script less automation
  • Easy to learn, so you can train your team within very less time compared to QTP/UFT and selenium. So you can start automation very early.
  • Model based automation, you do not need to write framework for this. It is already present.
  • Reusability of assets and copy-paste features for test cases and modules
  • Test management and manual testing is also present.
  • Can be integrated with HP ALM, can run selenium scripts.
  • Mass updates - Tosca provides its own query language same as SQL called as TQL. you can change many test cased together using this.
